👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All Ages Welcome! Everyone from families with children to grandparents are welcome.

♿Accessibility: Participants must be able to navigate steps when boarding the school bus. There are also steps in the Diemer Mansion.

🎟️Ticketing: The tour is free, but you must reserve a spot with a refundable deposit to ensure attendance. If you attend the event, you will be refunded the full deposit amount. If you do not attend the event, you will not receive your deposit. Limited tickets are available.

Event Description: 

Join us for an unforgettable journey through Cleveland’s rich Slovenian heritage! Whether you've lived in Cleveland your entire life or are just discovering the city’s deep Slovenian roots, this tour will introduce you to stories, landmarks, and histories you’ve never heard before.

The tour will start at the Slovenian Museum and Archives and will include a tour of various areas of the Slovenian National Home complex, the historic Diemer Mansion – which is rarely open to the public, as well as the Slovenian Genealogy Society International. The tour will then board a school bus and visit a total of over 20 Slovenian-American Landmarks – the places that shaped Slovenian-American life in Cleveland, from workplaces and places of worship to cultural hubs and even final resting places. Highlights of the tour include a fun photo opportunity, a tour of the Polka Hall of Fame, and delicious Slovenian refreshments which are courtesy of the Slovenian Consul General’s office.
