About the Parade

The Cleveland Kurentovanje Parade Committee extends a warm invitation for your organization to participate in the 13th Annual Cleveland Kurentovanje on Saturday, March 1, 2025. The mid-day Kurentovanje parade is the highlight of a weekend of festivities. The procession will include Kurenti, as well as groups in traditional ethnic costumes, bands, dance squads, local small businesses and non-profit organizations, and groups of friends and family dressed in costume.

Suggested Guidelines for Parade Participants

  • Identify your group with a sign or flag.

  • Make your group look cohesive by dressing in matching or coordinated costumes.

  • Bring treats to hand out to the crowd watching the parade (to prevent littering please hand off directly to people instead of throwing!).

  • Let the organizers know if your group needs any special accommodations (live animals, truck-driven float, etc).

  • Kindly, advertising is not allowed. All parade participants may display their names and greetings only. Signs stating “Vote for ...”, “Elect ...”, “We support …” “Buy…” or similar wording will be removed from the Parade by the Committee’s Parade marshals. Additionally, no distribution of pamphlets, fliers or business cards is permitted. Thank you for your understanding on this matter!

  • Dress warmly – this is a festival to scare away winter – it will be cold!
